The problem is, you’re not sure what kind of jobs you can get with an environmental technology degree. There’s great news for you. The number of jobs you can get with an environmental technology just keeps increasing and it’s not just in science.
Environmental Health Inspectors mostly work for the government. They are the ones who make sure that air, water and food meet government standards. An environmental health inspector will go to and test places such as dairies, processing plants, resturaunts and hospitals. In addition to checking the facilities, they test to ensure proper processing, handling and serving guidelines are followed in food and beverages. It is also the job of an environmental health inspector to visit sources of pollution and test the water, air and waste samples. With a degree in environmental technology, you can get a job as an air monitoring/emissions technician. You would perform lab and field tests on the air and identify sources of pollution and help to find ways to eliminate it.

This doesn’t sound like a glamorous job, but it will help to ensure the safe handling and proper disposal of chemical wastes of all kind. This job requires the safe transportation and loading/unloading of many different kinds of chemical waste.
The environmental technology field is rapidly growing and jobs within the field are going to continue to grow. They aren’t always the most glamorous, but they will become the standard in helping the nations of the world to maintain a more eco-friendly existence.

They are enlisting these people for everything from cleaning up their production practices, to enlisting more eco-friendly transport options. Many people with environmental technology jobs will be hired to help offset the huge energy of major offices as well.
